'Lack standing': Rep. Gohmert's Lawsuit Against Pence To Overturn Election Results Thrown Out

As reported by Savannah Behrmann at USA Today this morning,

WASHINGTON – A judge dismissed a lawsuit from Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, that was aimed at Vice President Mike Pence, seeking to put the authority to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's election win in the vice president's hands.

U.S. District Court Judge Jeremy Kernodle, who is a Trump appointee, said Gohmert and a group of other Republicans on the lawsuit "lack standing."

This well thought out lawsuit was to force Vice President Pence to accept any objection to the mostly ceremonial counting of the Electoral College vote on Wednesday January 6, 2021.

There will be objections by House and Senate members however, the question is will Pence accept the objections and send each branch of the U.S. Legislature back to their chambers to debate the objections.

The last time this happened during the certification process was 1887 post the Hayes/Tilden election. United States presidential election of 1876. Similarly, this has happened twice before this event, Jefferson/ Burr 1801, and Adams/ Jefferson 1824.

In my opinion, the best outcome would be for Pence to table the objections and have a public weeklong examinations of each objection. Once the public hearings happen then either accept the objections and send each branch of the Legislature back to their side of the House to debate the objections and come to a agreement or to not accept the objections and make Biden the 46th President of the United States.

If Pence does not take this tack is to leave President Trump to execute on Executive Order 13848.

 I think VP Pence is playing it close to his vest. There is a lot of FAKE news out there about what he is going to do. He was the first Senator to endorse POTUS when he announced he was running.
 If he goes for Trump and I think he will he also gets a second term and a possible run in 2024 . If he doesn't he is toast in the Republican party.

It is not a secret that Mrs. Pence hates her husbands current job and she is pining to be back in Indiana teaching. She is not a fan of her husbands boss and would discourage him from running for President in 2024.

To be honest, I think Pence will do nothing. What I would like him to do (what i wrote already) and what he will do are two separate things. Bottom-line, he does not have the balls to do anything other than 'rubber stamp' the Electoral College vote.

We will never see in our lifetime, the GOP grow a backbone.

I think its over 80 million patriots who casts votes and many of those were "lost" during the count but thats not the issue. My point is (I'm sure you got it) that this is the first shot fired in a battle we lost and the war is just beginning. It could also be the end of the war, we'll have to wait and see...

The results of todays election in GA will be interesting for sure. The events of everything that will happen tomorrow will be even more interesting. I look in the eyes of the republican candidates from GA and see more establishment scum. Pence is a "go along to get along" type of guy and does not want to be in the spotlight, I think he will fold like a wet noodle.

We no longer have free land to escape to as our ancestors did.
