Ronald Reagan told us, "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.?

The sad thing about the recent Texas shooting is, the government did come to help but handcuffed and pepper sprayed parents.

"Police tackled a father to the ground and used pepper spray on another man, Gomez told the WSJ. Federal marshals handcuffed Gomez and told her she was being arrested after she demanded they go into the building, but she had police officers she knew convince the marshals to remove the cuffs, she told the WSJ.

Gomez eventually ran into the school, got her two kids and sprinted away, according to the WSJ. After the shooting ended, she saw police use a taser on a father approaching a bus to retrieve his child". - Daily Caller

I think when the smoke clears from this horrific event, everyone post the shooting connected with the government will own part of the blame, both police and politicians - Local, state, and federal.

There was a very famous (infamous) event where the gov went 'to help childred' who were at a licensed church and day-care center: Waco.

Ruby Ridge comes to mind where two family members, Vicki and Samuel Weaver were shot. All over a screwed up "bench warrant" snafu on Randy Weaver. Add to that the death of a Marshal. None of those deaths should have happened.

There are other examples but that comes immediately to mind.
