Just have a few questions on the more higher quality videos. What kinda gear? How much post production time do you put in? About how many hours a week does filming, editing, advertising your channel take? do you use seperate audio devices or do you use the cameras audio device?


Please point me in the right direction.

Lets you and I go west and live in Northern New Mexico at the foothills of the mountains.  That would be awesome from my p.o.v.  Buffalo, bear, elk, deer, antelope would be the big ones. 

But I suspect that would be complicated by the things known as wives.  I got one and she would be upset if I ran off.  Probably track me down, catch me and drag me back to the (what she believes is) civilized world.  Any chance yours would come along?

I don't post to youtube but.  you can get HD quality from a lot of typical cellphones or standard cameras now.  more than that is probably not needed.  for editing your video depends - freeware to studio software is easy to find.  movie making software isn't hard to use for the most part. 
having watched my share of the American zeit geist on youtube please, please get a tripod and microphone. <and use them>
A youtube account has a button for uploading video - it has editing software and if your laptop or phone has a camera you can start experimenting.
