The advent of "Electronica" enables the "re-packaging" of some timeless musical truthes.   Of course, separating grain from chaff can be maddeningly time-consuming.  There are Sooooo many copy-cats with no training, no insight, no inspiration. But still, the effort can reap rewards.
Some of our youngest, without benefit of tradition, do, sometimes hear that which transcends frenetic fad and takes away the same vibe that inspired what we call "classics".    It is no accident that some of the DJ's and musicians who offer exotic new approaches and presentations are, in fact, well versed and even trained within the classics themselves.   We're talking Bach, Beethoven, Handel, etc, etc, etc...  And no way do I have the technical ability to cleanse the following of all enabling commercial insertions... sorry.

To RB in Ga..... The lyrics were clearly the total musical message. Since I am/was a professional musician for more than 20 years, the music didn't blow my skirt up at all. It definitly sounded like Electronica created on a computer without a musician within 20 miles of the recording. When I hear things like that and I don't hear emotion, expression, or personality(Style), then I assume its computer generated sounds. I have 13 of my original recordings posted on www.reverbnation.com/pkveazey if you want to listen to them. Some of them are BS based on the 12 bar Blues chord changes but several are fairly serous compositions that seasoned musicians might enjoy. While I really like some music with vocals, All of my tunes are instrumentals. Most of my recordings were done using my computer recording program. The difficult part was to use my Roland Guitar synthesizer that takes what I play on guitar and changes it into other instruments. The real trick is to think like a SAX player when playing the Sax parts and to think like a KEYBOARD player when playing the Keyboard parts, etc. Its sad to say, but I built the guitar and connected the Synthesizer system to it and several years later I gave the setup to a musician friend who is a highly trained professional guitarist because I was noticing some Arthritis in one of my knuckles and I didn't want my instrument to end up in a yard sale with some 15 year old little shit playing "Shreds" on it. It deserved a better home than that. Since then, the arthritis has calmed down and now I only have normal Guitars and Amps to use for any future recordings. I did talk to my friend about how he liked the guitar and synth that I gave him and he said that he was having a ball playing it and the guitar played like Butter. When a guitar is said to play like butter, it means that it plays very easy and you don't have to fight it to play it. In the end, I'm glad I gave it to him because he's about 30 years younger than me and he should get many years of enjoyment out of it. oops, I went to the website and noticed that "All of me" was a recording that I did in a studio and the Sax, Bass, and Guitar were actually 3 separate musicians and of course. "All of me" is not one of my originals.
