Day-z mod for arma 2
« on: May 09, 2012, 03:56:30 AM »
I actually bought arma 2 and the expansion just for this mod. It is insanely popular as well. It almost plays like a multiplayer version of stalker. Lots of wide open space and opportunity for sniping, as well as using team tactics and movement.   Lots of fun, me and my friend have been playing it non stop for days. Best part is, when you die, there is no respawning at all. You have to start with a new character with nothing.

It is.   You really have to plan stuff out, don't just rush in like other FPS games, since a small mistake can get you killed. I almost died a few times, and only killed one other person in the past 4 days I've been playing it. That is how slow paced it is. My friend managed to kill himself by running into a tent however.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

No, you have to buy operation arrowhead as well, possibly the paid version of arma 2 as well, I'm not too sure, I just bought the combo pack for $30 off steam.

Since it is illegal to pirate movies, and one might end up face down in the bay. Make sure you dot your "I's" and cross your "T's" as organization is the key to success.

It's generally very difficult to play pirated games online on regular servers.

Me and my friends actually bought arma 2 for this mod, but tonight we started playing the real game, and it's pretty awsome, like a more grown up much more expansive version of of a battlefield game. Also, lot's of content for the money.

Hey RvR, it would be great if you would give the forum an update on your job. Some of the things you wrote about at work was interesting in the past.

My job sucks and I don't want t talk about it. I play video games so I can relieve stress without worrying about going to jail. My other stress reliever is 100+ mph.

So being a "projects" baby sitter doesn't sit well does it  ;)

Along time ago we lived in Ft. Pierce, FL. on our sailboat. One of the other live a' boards was a Ft. Pierce LEO. He lived on a house boat ala Travis McGee from one of John D. MacDonald novels.

Anyhow, he was a very gregarious guy who use to stop by for a adult beverage a few times a week. He use to tell me stories about dealing with folks in the projects. To this day I think he was often pulling my leg.

With that written he invited me to do a "drive along" which I did one night. Talk about Zombies...West Ft. Pierce was so bad at night, MrsMac and I would never get off of I95 at night and drive east to the marina. We would always get of in Vero Beach and take 1 south or Stuart and take 1 north.

The definition of animals comes to mind thinking of West Ft. Pierce...
