Movie: America - Review
« on: July 09, 2014, 10:47:06 AM »
MrsMac and I went to a matinee showing of America yesterday directed by Dinesh D'Souza and John Sullivan.

The premise of the documentary was: Would the world be better off if America never existed?"  He asks this question by interviewing people we all know who are staunchly anti-American and folks who are staunchly pro-American. The directors allow the audience to make up their mind in the end. With that said, the movie does have a Libertarian slant to it of less government vs. more government.

Overall on the JohnyMac review scale of "1-5" with "5" being excellent I would rate this documentary a solid "4.5." Photography a "5." Sound a "5." content a "4." I am going to buy the book by the same name, to follow-up on references D'Souza and Sullivan used in the movie. I would like to make up my own mind via my own research.

On another note: When have the prices on matinee's changed to $10- a ticket? Gee willakers!

Now there's an expression I haven't heard in a heck of a long time.
