I used to be conversationally fluent in ASL, but have long since lost my skills.  When I left my parent's church I lost my connection with the Deaf & HoH community.  That said, Mr. WPW and I do have agreed-upon hand signs for the dog - sit has one, stay another, etc.  Between what remains of my ASL and the dog ones we could probably cobble together something we'd understand.
