Light"s Out by Ted Koppel

 The first few chapters are spot on then he goes boring. I was going to do a review but this professional review says it all.

I liked it too. 
and i agree - the first chapters covered the weaknesses in our power distribution system.
the rest got to be a bit rambling.
IMHO, 1st third was a good description of the problem.  the rest was letting us know no one in the industry, states or feds seemed to be able to do anything and we are on our own.  Still worth a read.

 Yes it is. He said he has a years supply of supplies for each of his family. Most of the MSM just ignored him, that's why you might not have heard of his book.

Who has not read Lights Out by David Crawford? It is 2-3 times better than One Second After.

That puts its own level of credibility in the entire "belief".  My wife is not so much a prepper believer.  But she does give Koppel a high degree of credibility.

I emailed her the amazon link for that book.  She will ask why and I will note the author.  It will likely get a bit more thinking going on her part.

Your in a better position with your wife than I am with mine who has terminal normalcy bias. Even her oldest son who is a committed prepper can't change her mind.
