« on: February 24, 2021, 08:23:15 AM »
Hello all,
Thanks for the site and helpful posts. Not a noob, but I can always learn something about how to improve existing preps.
Looking forward to being a part of this community.

Let me be the first one here to welcome you. We are a rather eclectic group of men & women who have been here, gosh for seven PLus years. LOL. A bit long in the tooth I guess.  ;)

Great achieves section too.

ERIN (Eastern Region Information Network) net every Tuesday night. Digital and phone.

Welcome!

Thanks JohnnyMac,

I will try to check in on the ERIN net.  I am putting it on the calendar so I don't forget. My 80 meter access is limited at present.  Need to get another antenna up. Do you have PM on here, if so I will send you my ham call. Is there any VHF or UHF comms happening that I could reach here in Western NC? I am enjoying reading and appreciate the news as others see it.

I go down to N.Central NC on occasion and I use the repeater over at Ashville Mount Mitchell 145.190Mhz -.600Mhz no PL or the Danville VA repeater White Oak Mntn 146.700 Mhz -.600 Mhz PL 107.2

Just a suggestion: Do a search on your browser for "Your County" amateur radio club. Typically, a club will come up. Then go to their site to see what repeater they use for their weekly nets. Once you have that information join the net at the agreed upon day/time.

Check out this antenna I built and wrote about over at American Partisan. It will handle almost every band out there but 15, 30, and 60-meters.

You can always PM me, by clicking on the PM icon under my name.
