i have the same Jansport external frame pack. (i think mine may be the same series, but a slightly smaller model.) either way, never really used it, but my initial review of it is that it's a quality product considering it's from a relatively generic company like Jansport. aluminum external frame, good camping/hiking bag. I don't know that I'd want to rely on it for my go-to BOB or anything, but it would be a hell of a hand-out. that's for sure. I can't find anything at yardsales except for cheap "china cabinet" dishes LOL! you did pretty good in my book. I would have jumped on all the same shit you jumped on as long as the price was right. good job reaver.
EDIT: btw, cute fuckin kid man. I can't wait till my girl gets to be around his age. much fun will be had.
