Title: Why U.S. Unemployment Numbers Are A Fantasy- Grrrrrr
Post by: sledge on December 03, 2011, 12:59:14 PM
I'm posting this because it is the truth and it pisses me off.

From the article:

There is more fantasy in the U.S. employment numbers than in a Harry Potter novel.  This form of statistical manipulation is something that might be expected in a corrupt third-world backwater. Apparently, this is the standard that Washington is now adhering to for its statistical reporting.

You could also add to this the inflation number which is total BS as it doesn't include increases in the cost of fuel or food.

Oh yeah Sledge.

When it was announced I just rolled my eyes.

Two things:

1) By the presidential election unemployment will be at or a tad over 8%. Pure fiction.
2) The first Friday in February, the unemployment for January will take a jump as Christmas part-
time workers will be laid off post the holiday season.
