Why is this not being reported?
« on: August 14, 2020, 07:00:25 PM »
On DAY ONE of the reporting of the COVID 19 disease, there was a brief mention that they didn't know why, but SMOKERS don't seem to catch it. From that moment on, not one word ever mentioned about it again. Hmmmm...... I watched a video on You Tube regarding SMOKERS. In some European countries they are placing NICOTINE PATCHES on patients. I think that is probably a case of closing the barn door after the horses got out. Smoking(Nicotine and Tar) prevents it because either the Nicotine or the Tar, or possibly both, kills the Virus. I have not heard one person on the news or one Doctor say that non smokers should start using the Nicotine Patch to prevent catching it. I took the wife to the Doctor's Office yesterday for her checkup and when I mentioned the Smoking thing and that Europe was using Nicotine Patches on patients, they looked at me like I knew something that they had never heard about. I'm still waiting for more News Reports concerning Smokers and Covid 19. Hmmmmm..... I think I'll end up having a really long wait.

there are write ups by the University of Washington and Stanford University - It has been reported.
they show an inverse relationship between smoking and Covid-19 outcome.  No links to the studies, no specifics, no data, zip, nada.

interestingly - the studies aren't available to the causal browser or even referenced on the institutions web sites.
also interesting - the FAQs on WHO and several other websites carefully avoid the question by deflecting to variations of 'Smoking Bad'.  I did find a peer reviewed Chinese study - published by the same jack-a's who published another study that was so bogus that NE-JAMA had to retract it and apologize - people are still making pointed accusations that the Chinese paid for its publication.

I'm confused.  but i'm not a medical doc either.   :coffeeNews:
