Needed. You heard about the shooting in Virginia Beach. Public utilities employee killed 12 and wounded a half dozen or so more. Some reports indicate he used 2 handguns, reportedly with supressors in .45 cal.
google-- va beach mass shooting
Our illustrious governor Northam and a bunch of anti-gun politicians will be pushing stronger control laws come their next opportunity. For VA its next January.
For the U.S., its Monday, 3 June 19 morning.
And remember the Florida school shooting? Who was blamed for it-- the NRA. Booker for president? He plans to take on the NRA and defeat them. The NRA is the defense wall. Yes the other organizations are strongly helpful and critical to the legal aspects but the NRA is the armor.
Yes some don't agree with the NRA on all things. I have about 85% agreement and some things not so much. But they are the 800 pound gorilla on the issue and without them we might have a muzzle loading rifle and double barreled shotgun, kept at the range and used there only.
Side note-- if you are in VA, join the VCDL. Virginia Citizens Defense League. Thats the state level NRA type organization but a bit more right leaning and active. If you go to a gun show there will be a recruiting table there. Likely one outside that can get you into the show no charge. Same as joining the NRA. Come to the new show venue (Lynchburg) at River Ridge Mall at the intersection iof 460 and 29 business.
If you are not very active politically, its time to go there.
Simply-- GYAIG on it.
