Good finding.  Every prepper, who legally and feasibly can, should get into reloading.  It really is simple. Cased ammo won't be around forever if things get bad enough, but at least in the initial troubles, you won't be out of cased ammo.

I've said it once, I'll say it agian. Reloading will be meaningless because you can't make your own primers.

I thought the video kicked ass.  I smiled a few times.  The beer, and the hammering the primer hoping it wouldn't explode was awesome.  I'm way too dry for the internet, and sometime I forget that.  I usually like to match sarcasm with sarcasm, and sometimes it just comes off wrong.  Plus, I think a little humor about how not to do something, is just as good as a good how-to video, because it lightens up things, without being so dry and intellectual.  I still think its a heck of a good find, I've never seen a humorous video on reloading before.  This was a good one.

Here is a link to a thread I posted just now about making your own primers:  http://straightprep.com/forum/index.php?topic=2875.msg31752#new

Its just a starter, and there is a lot more information about it out there, and there are even some videos about it floating around out there, showing you how to do it.  I'm looking for them now.

I've said it once, I'll say it agian. Reloading will be meaningless because you can't make your own primers.

Maybe you just haven't read and researched enough.  These primers won't be as good as the ones we have now, but they will work some of the time.  I'd say having a cartridge that will work some of the time, is better than not having them at all, depending on what your opponent has.  I'll see if I can dig it up, and get you a link.

Also, all firearms are not dependent on primers to fire a projectile.  All modern firearms you can think of might, but certainly there are some very old firearms, that work some of the time, without the small and large primers we use now in our modern machine guns or semi-autos.  Most load through the muzzle.

I'll be back if I find you the link on making your own primers.
