I'm not sure all of you guys know about this. I'm putting it here instead of the Secret Section because this isn't conspiracy or fear mongering. There is a real potential for it to cause some serious problems. The most active area of the sun since 2005 will turn towards the Earth on Nov. 8th and it will be facing the Earth for two weeks. We could get blasted by a coronal ejection or we could escape unharmed. It's a total role of the dice. But the likelihood that it could happen is definitely increased.
Most on this site have already made or are making preps for any disaster that could happen. If you are new or haven't made preps yet you might consider following the same precautions we here in Florida do for hurricanes every year just in case one comes our way.
Food, water, lighting, batteries, a can of gas, propane for a grill, and some spare cash on hand just in case. But note, if a flare did take out the electrical grid it could be years before it was repaired.

Would mylar work for that cuz i got some of that and i have a couple of small electronics i would like to protect. A emegency radio and shit like that.

I'm not real sure on that.
But, if you have a steel ammo can, you can do the same thing with that like was done in the video with the garbage can.

and wrap it in some tin foil too...never too safe

Yeah you're right. And if you have a steel desk/file cabinet, huck it in there. Extra protection always helps, just ask my parents ;D
