I'm not offended at all Bob.  Some people would rather not know what is going on and I'm fine with that.  I'll keep looking at indications of potential threats and you can wait until they announce the missiles are in the air.  You'll have about 27 minutes to decide what you're going to do.   :)

Russian anti ship missiles are now set up on the Syrian Shore.
A Russian carrier group and 5 other ships with anti aircraft weapons are patrolling the Syrian shore.
Syrian scuds are set up on the Turkish border, some of which are confirmed chemical warheads.
Turkish troops are on war alert.
Our troops are setting up defenses in Jordan.
Leon Panetta just visited and consulted with the Turkish military.
Syrian Vice President Farouk A-Shara's just landed in Moscow for a crisis conference with Russian leaders.

Yep, everything seems fine for the moment.  No worries man.   :)

OK BobR I hear you however these things are happening.

What makes me worry even more though is that 2012 is a US Presidential election year. Does the movie Wag the Dog remind you of anything?  :)) Check out W's approval rating's for his two terms: http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/info-presapp0605-31.html

This is an interactive link and you can check our Presidents all of the way back to Truman. Please notice the bump a President receives in his approval rating when war happens.

Barry needs a boost or he is going to loose the election big time in '12.

A global event is only part of it though. Barry needs national events to happen too- Needs the unemployment rate to go down (Fix the #'s), he needs gas to go down (Has gas gone down in your neighborhood lately yet crude is over $100 a barrel), protest's (Which will lead to riots) the ? colapses which is connected to the $$$ now thanks to Timmy...Should I continue?

I think that 2012 is going to be a roller coaster of events nationally like we have not seen since the Civil War (Ten year depression post the war) and globally like we haven't seen since WW II.

Good thing I ordered that Embrace The Suck patch.

Personally, I don't really see anything happening yet. I think there are a few more bridges that need burning before the russian bear decides to jump in the ring, along with a few thousand nukes.

Your probably right.  It is interesting to note that Obama, Putin, and the Chinese Communist Party are all having credibility and popularity problems in their respective countries.  History has shown that when unpopular leaders feel abandoned by their people they tend to look towards a war to rebuild their popular support and cause their people to look at other issues than those that are causing them the popularity problems.

But I am sure that won't happen here.  Obama, Putin and the CCP are a lot more rational than past leaders who pulled those stunts.   :o  At any rate, since several of you voiced negative feelings towards this type of information I removed it and will refrain from posting similar info in the future.  Be happy!

On a side note.  After visiting this site and hitting the Nuke It button I've come to the realization that I live much too close to Patrick AFB (47 mi.) and the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant  (22 mi.).

I don't think you shoulda deleted it.  I agree, with so many puzzle pieces slipping into place it's hard not to see what the resulting picture looks like

I agree, the pieces have been coming together for awhile now.  Normally I might have said screw you, if you don't want to read it don't click it.  But here lately I've been feeling kind of melancholy and don't really feel like arguing with anyone.

If anyone wants to read it they can go to http://www.debka.com/ and look it up.  Debka does a pretty good job of keeping up on what is going on in the middle east.
