Title: Predictions?
Post by: JohnyMac on November 19, 2021, 09:39:39 AM
It is reported that 40% of TSA airport screeners are not vaccinated. Anybody wish to predict how busy the airports will be for Thanksgiving air travel. How about those protesting pilots.

If anybody is traveling this coming week, please post here what you see.

When we were in Syracuse Tuesday, the TSA line seemed much longer than I thought it should be at 4:30 in the morning, but my son got through pretty quickly. I'd expect more delay/protest from either the pilots or the ATC's. There were also only like 30 passengers on his flight, and 40-some on the flight overseas. I don't think there will be even a normal amount of air travel, but I'll bet the highways will be packed.

The pilots could really make their point, and they could possibly bankrupt some airlines, if they decide to have a sick-in, in protest of vaccination mandate.  Truckers could do the same thing too.

Folks traveling 3 plus hours from home for Thxgiving, there might be some gas lines and of course heavy traffic at narrow spots in ones routes. Also, I suspect there will be a shiton of state and local LEO's out.
