Packing the SCOTUS
« on: April 15, 2021, 11:46:26 AM »
They are in deep discussions about packing the SCOTUS

Will it happen?

Are they just testing the waters?

Other?

If it happens, then what?

Mmmmm.

The funny thing is that Candidate Biden said he would not do this. So, maybe Pelosi is jumping the gun a bit. This is an issue that both sides of the aisle can say "no" to.

Remember, all the changes that the left wants to happen must happen by the US Legislative branch being sworn in on January 2, 2022.

Changes to our Constitution are coming fast and furious now. Political fatigue by us will allow them to win.

Relatively new info.  But I cannot say I trust her to not get pushy on this.

Pelosi says she’s open to expanding the size of Supreme Court but has no plans to bring Dem bill to the floor
Senate and House Democrats are proposing legislation to expand Supreme Court to 13 seats

Progressive Democrats introduce legislation to expand the size of the Supreme Court

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday she is open to expanding the size of the Supreme Court, but has no plans to bring a bill sponsored by House and Senate Democrats to the floor for a vote.

Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., and Rep. Mondaire Jones, D-N.Y., proposed legislation Thursday that would expand the Supreme Court to 13 seats. There are currently nine seats on the court. That number has remained the same since 1869.

During her weekly press conference Thursday, Pelosi, D-Calif., would not commit to bringing that bill to the floor.

"No," she said, noting that she supports President Biden’s commission to study "such a proposal."

"I think it is an idea that should be considered," Pelosi said. "It’s a big step. It’s not out of the question. It has been done before. In the history of our country, a long time ago, and the growth of our country, the size of our country, the growth of our challenges in terms of the economy, et cetera, might necessitate such a thing."

She added: "I have no plans to bring it to the floor."

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

I am SO freaking fatigued on all this crap like I have never been about anything before.

No matter which way we turn or who we elect at ANY level of govt, nothing gets done because of the deepstate and corruption. Far too many sheeple who are totally blind to everything going on, we need to tear off the bandaid quickly and let everyone feel the pain while we still have free speech to talk about, maybe then we can make some changes

If I vote again I will write in "Trump" for every position and walk out

Biden not ready to say whether he backs Dem court-packing legislation: White House
Senate and House Democrats are proposing legislation to expand Supreme Court to 13 seats
By Brooke Singman | Fox News

President Biden is not ready to say whether he supports legislation introduced by House and Senate Democrats that would expand the Supreme Court and is waiting for the findings of a bipartisan commission he impaneled last week that will be reviewing a range of proposed potential reforms to the high court, the White House said Thursday.

Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., and Rep. Mondaire Jones, D-N.Y., proposed legislation Thursday that would expand the Supreme Court to 13 seats. There are currently nine seats on the court — a number that has remained the same since 1869.
