Are Guns & Ammo The New Gold?

More Americans are buying ammunition and guns than ever before.  Are the same trends that are prompting ordinary citizens to buy gold also prompting them to stock up on Guns and Ammo?

Well i actually think guns and ammo are far more valuble than gold.
I cant eat gold. Guns and ammo can feed my family
Gold makes me a target of violence but guns allow me to protect myself from that violence.
And if your family is starving youll pay me a 1/2 lb of gold for the rabbit i just shot with a .02 cent .22
sorry guys bullets and guns are better than gold in the book of WhiskeyJack. In fact in a bug out event i would rather have presious gems over gold. Golds freaking heavy man. But i can sew a few million $ worth of diamonds into the hems of my familys coats.

It's funny because the other day at the gun store I heard someone say "I was buying gold and silver and now i just try to stock up on guns and bullets, rough times ahead"
