Odd Military Presence

I once mentioned that I used to get a lot of Helicopter traffic over my house. This pretty much happened in Summer or at least warmer months. This week, I have had a lot of helicopter traffic passing over my house. Hmmmm...... They used to pretty much fly East to West or West to East. These things are East, West, South, and North. About a month or so ago I actually saw an OSPREY fly over. I wonder if any of y'all have seen an increase in Helo traffic.

I get an Osprey, sometimes 2 together, about once a week.   A space station on scheduled appearances also.

I get a few military hellos going south to north only, maybe 3-5 times a week during the day. Lately, we have been getting hellos south to north at night but running dark. We once had a Reaper drone fly over low enough that I could clearly make it out.

The summer of 2020 there were C-130's, all summer long, flying at low altitude, following the Susquehanna River, which flows through my nearby town. Man o' man, they were noisy. This summer nadda.

I've seen little black plans, I think theyre called cubs, that were painted all black with no tail numbers or any marking at all. They were parked at the Kenai airport and I took some pics but they were too far away and looked like little black dots on my camera. This was about 5 years ago

I checked out that website and it is great. I saved it to my favorites. Hmmmm..... I loved clicking on the Helos with XC numbers and getting UNKNOWN OWNER. Gee, I wonder what that could mean?

I see no hellos just airplanes.

I actually use https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ more than flight aware.  Adsbexchange is more intuitive and you can just display just military flights, while flight aware is geared more to commercial aircraft flights.  With just a glance, the adsbexchange radar views gives you type of aircraft and general altitude levels.  Either program can be used for tracking, so you can see their ultimate destination.  I should note that sometimes military flights will disappear off of the display, usually due to the sensitive nature of the flight.  Either program can suck up free time.

Had a pair of F-18 go by a few minutes ago.  When they are low enough to get a good look to ID them, they are low and slow.  And LOUD.

Last week, around by AO there was a lot of help traffic going north (Probably Ft Drum). Last week we had 2, F??? fly over our house where they landed at a civilian airport in Binghamton. They were low enough to make the windows vibrate and like Nemo wrote, were LOUD. This is the first time we have seen that.

I have seen two Predator drones fly over, south to north at low altitude but that was in 2016. None recently.
