This is just an observation.  It seems to me that there is a lot of rage in this type of popular music that young people listen to these days.  I wonder if there is any correlation between this type of music gaining popularity and the fact that so many young people are drinking bottled water these days.  They're not getting enough fluoride and lithium to maintain that drug induced stare at the TV while watching ABC Nightly News.

I was born way to late. I should be in a Huey somewhere over Nam with this song blasting through the speakers. Rocking a m60 like my father before me.

Looks cool in the movies like Apocalypse Now doesn't it.  The chopper guys took a lot of hits and fatalities.  Low life expectancy do to thin skinned birds without any armor.  They would sit on their helmets for protection from below.  Those guys had guts to land in hot zones because they became the instant target for the reward.


Now if you're talking about Puff The Magic Dragon, yeah, that would have been cool.

 Rock and Metal are in my blood. My fathers were the fuckers jamming hard in the Nam and the Gulf. C'mon, a little distortion never hurt no body  ^-^

I wasn't putting you down Spirit.  I know you've got game.  I was just pointing out that those birds got into some hairy stuff.  Especially the medevacs.  Your dad having sat in one, I'll wager that's not the place he would have wanted you to be.

Yeah patriot seeker, I never got to ride in Puff but I did get a look at one on the hardtop.  Something to see.  The guy said when they lit it up it was loud as hell and shook the whole plane so it felt like it would come apart.

I'm not sure if they still do, but I know not that many years ago they had gunships that had evolved from Puff.  They were supposed to be pretty wicked too.

I just saw them a few months ago.   A good show but I can only take him in small doses.   Hell of a song writer though!!!
