Well I just want to wish a Merry Christmas to everybody and to those who are overseas fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan or where ever you are deployed and pray for peace for everybody.

Yes and Merry Christmas to you all.
As we say our blessing's this Holiday Season, lets say a prayer for our troops and their family's around the globe.

 Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! It was incredibly busy here, but a lot of fun. I should have my house back to myself by the end of the week and will have to get back into the normal routine.
-
Just remember, if you have any Holiday Season decorations up, leave them up! Just tell folks, "we are early." ;)
On another note: I am sure I will sound like a Scrooge here BUT the amount of effort that goes into Christmas by my families women folk, for one day, is astounding. This year I didn't whine once. I just smiled and went along with the flow.

Bravo. I'm sure it was MUCH appreciated. I didn't get so lucky with Mr. WPW, but all was well in the end. :) I spent all bloody day in the kitchen and I wasn't even doing the main meal this year. :lmfao:

Wellie, you sound like quite the cook! MrsMac, Mr WPW, you and I are going to have to get together in the near future to cook up a feast!
Our Christmas dinner this year was a 6 rib Rib Roast (My brother & I cooked), Yorkshire pudding (MrsMac cooked), pan gravy (I made) and asparagus sauteed in fish & hosin sauce (Sister in-law cooked). I was supposed to make a salad with warm bacon dressing too but nobody said anything as the day went on so I shined it. >:D
Desert was Scottish shortbread, cookies and strong coffee (Mrs Mac cooked). It was truly a family affair.

Sounds wonderful! I did breakfast, peppermint bark, wassail & chocolate chip cookies (which didn't turn out - oven was too hot & I needed to watch my time more closely - that's what I get for trying to do two things at once!). We had prime rib, greens, green bean casserole, mashed taters, and Sister Schubert (? I think - never heard of them before) rolls, which were all quite tasty.

That too sounds wonderful!
