Yeps, Saturday afternoon, 1530 or so.

I remember getting up at 6am back when I was in school, 2nd, 3rd grade.  Turning on TV as stations turned on for the day, spending all day in front of that screen waiting on Lift Off.  Could not eat breakfast or drink anything because I might have to go to bathroom and miss some bit of it.

Got to take days off from school to watch it.  Lived in Huntsville AL, dad worked for IBM and help build black ring around Saturn V rocket which was IBM computers controlling it all.  Part of build contract was computer ring be distinguishable which is why it had a black ring on the white rocket.

Ah those days were some real excitement.  Coming back again.
