Alright all you tech smart gurus I need some recommendations for a digital camera to start documenting some of the stuff that's going to be going in the blog. I not looking to spend a huge amount of money, maybe $150 or so. What's the best bang for the buck in that price range?

The Flip cameras are pretty sweet for $160 or less (shop around): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040702IE/ (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040702IE/)
If you wanna go a little bigger: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/GoPro+-+HERO+CHDNH001+Digital+Camcorder+LCD+-+CMOS+-+Full+HD/3350312.p?id=1218397392756&skuId=3350312 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/GoPro+-+HERO+CHDNH001+Digital+Camcorder+LCD+-+CMOS+-+Full+HD/3350312.p?id=1218397392756&skuId=3350312)
- up to 1080p HD
- waterproof (200 feet) /virtually indestructible housing (I've seen them fall from 3000 feet and still be recording)
- endless mounting options
- Fun little camera
Also, whatever camera you get, make sure you pick up a sandisk 32GB (or higher) memory card. You can get them for around $60 or less. This'll allow you to shoot and store more footage (about 7 hours of 720p HD or around 4 hours of 1080p HD)

Whatever you do, stay away from all that touch screen bullshit.

Still or Video?
Also, note most Still Cameras now shoot video as well. Digital.

You're going to be hard pressed to find a good NEW camera in that range so I'll tell you that I've had nothing but the best of luck with Canon PowerShot.
The wife and I have owned several cameras out of this line and found them all to be wonderful units. Currently I am rocking a 8 megapixel A590IS and it takes great photos.

They start a $50 for a good used one and just under $200 for new. They shoot still and video.

I bought my wife a Nikon COOLPIX S6200 16.0 MP Digital Camera. Easy to use, great looking pictures, size of a deck of cards. Also has HD video recording.

I'm leaning towards the Coolpix - the price is right. Still a lot of comparing to do though.
