Yeah, I was thinking that thing would probably fill your freezer for a season. They probably had to gut and quarter it there. I don't know how else they'd carry it. I'll bet it was gamy tasting and tough as all get out.
Around here (Florida) most guys use dogs or cages for live catches. Then they grain feed them for a few weeks to change the gamy taste of the meat. You can pick up a caged hog for 50-75 dollars.
You can get them even cheaper if the neighbors aren't watching their pot belly pig close enough. lol Kidding.
