This guy has gone through the SHTF and come out on the other side.  He and his family survived in a completely surrounded city, that was being attacked daily.  He probably knows what he is talking about.

Surviving one year in a city surrounded by the enemy army and cut off from the rest of the world. I'm Selco and have been through this SHTF school I never wanted to attend during the Balkan wars 1992 - 1995. I write about this here.

A little note about Selcos blog - if you aren't familiar with that time period in the Balkans literally it was like the end of the world for them.  Imagine not only having all hell break loose and having to deal with critical shortages of everything but even worse the absolute non availability of critical goods, and ethnic militias.  A favorite tactic of the militias was to send snipers into the opposing ethnic groups areas of the cities and shoot anything that moved.  Little old ladies, dogs, anything.

I agree.  If people are not aware, they need to look into the History of the Balkan War.  It truly was a really bad SHTF, WROL urban scenario in all the awful ways that you can try to imagine it.   [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

Nothings turns a neighborly conflict into a full-blown bloodbath quicker than ethnic tensions, this is a lesson that we would all be wise to learn from.

Especially if you live in an area that has minorities with their own common culture, neighborhoods, and businesses.

Uprising Hip Hop and The LA Riots.

Watched the whole thing last night, it was a real eye opener and made me disgusted. They burned down their own neighborhoods and had no remorse 20 years later.

When they burn down our neighborhoods and even take out people and kill them in the streets, they will be seen as heroes 20 years later by their own as well.  Quote me on that.  They will have no remorse, they will be heroes, they will be celebrated by their own.
