So the holidays are upon us and down here, in the crotch stain of the world, MrsNinja and I are busy packing up and prepping to head off to the BOL for little more than a week of target practice, comms tuition, checking how the homestead is coming and a little bit of much needed RnR. Not much time for web surfing there so even though I'll still be around for a couple of days I just wanted to take a moment to say happy holidays to all before I go dark. Be safe, be vigilant and keep being awesome.

Dayum no one here recognizes Festivus?  Well dammitol Happy Festivus... for the Rest of Us!  Anyway.   And in celebration, Today is Festivus.  Anyone else raise the Pole.  Dayum I bet not. 

If anyone were near, I would show you some feats of strength.  I don't care if you are some young whippersnapper or what.   I've got a lot of problems with you people! And now you're gonna hear about it!!

Strangely Festivus carries pale similarities to Christmas growing up. Except instead of a pole we had a 20 y.o. tree that had lost most of it's branches, it was mainly my mother who told everyone exactly what she thought of them (usually on the way to and from church) and the feats of strength was really just a brawl brought on by someone mentioning someone else's wife/children/life choices. Aah, good times.

Santa got me a barrel of crude instead. I think it was the cheaper option since they don't have an EPA in the middle east to drive up cost.
