Financial Giants Put New York City Cops On Their Payroll
« on: October 11, 2011, 09:17:38 AM »
I know this has gone on for decades at several levels.  Stores hire off duty cops during the Christmas shopping season, music concerts and sporting events often hire off duty officers to maintain order with large crowds, and some wealthy people will hire off duty officers to accompany them out for a night out on the town.

Still, I think that may be a little different than hiring officers to control people expressing their first amendment right and making statements that the Financial Community doesn't like.  Sort of a conflict of interest for the police.  To bad Jefferson didn't mention in a letter the concept of a separation of Corporation and State rather than the comment he made about the separation of Church and State.
