so... it may be a little too soon to speak on this but...
I may FINALLY be setting the ball in motion to relocate to a more suitable AO!
the new AO won't be totally ideal for our right-wing white supremacist extremist way of life, but it will sure as shit be a huge leap in the right direction. (no pun intended)
*releases long sigh of stale New Orleans air*
finally I get to say goodbye to this shithole and start fresh in a new place. (hopefully, if plans stay on the current track)

lol, no. I'm talking about relocating about 8hrs away from new orleans. :))
I'm going to try and see if I can manage to have a job waiting for me when I get there. we have a few connections with electricians out there so hopefully I'll be able to arrange something prior to the move.

I personally am not picky about where I move to, but our location is set in stone for other reasons. middle Georgia is the destination. but if it were up to me, I'd certainly consider AK. I got nothing against it, that's for sure. anywhere outside of New Orleans is a huge improvement, lol.

well I've been itching to leave this cesspool since long before I ever heard the word "prepper". I've always had a love-hate relationship with this place, and as the years have gone by, the "love" part has gotten smaller and smaller.
long story short, the woman and I were discussing the state of the nation (basically me just having my daily bitch-fest) and usually I express my want/need to gtfo of this place whenever I'm in that mood. well for whatever reason, this time she just blurted out "WELL LET'S JUST FUCKING DO IT THEN!"
I was kind of taken aback because she's pretty much the only reason why we're still here. It's always been her personal ties to this place that has held us here. I think she's finally crossed a major threshold and we're both on the right track to living more LOGICALLY and securely.
so there, that's the best explanation I can give without going into too great of personal detail. the woman was the one last string tied to this place, and that string finally broke. so we're out as soon as we can manage it. I'll be within an hour's drive of EJR, GAP, and Rah. FINALLY some sense of a "group" (hopefully, if they'll take me, lol)

I see. The only thing tieing me to this shithole is no job where im going. I cant just get in my car and drive and pull over and start living...although i may be driven to that literal point soon. There are small things like my brother and good friend. But i think if i go and get established i can talk my bro into moving out here. If anyone had a reliable job to offer me anywhere id probably go for it. My apartment lease is up in december.

a quick list of improvements that will result from living in the new AO:
- a great deal more land to cultivate. probably enough to sustain ourselves if the need should arise.
- no landlord, so we can do pretty much whatever we want with the land available to us.
- far greater security. it's not out in bumfuck or anything, but it's at least semi-rural. safer community, nicer people, not as densely populated, etc.
- we'll finally be able to start keeping bees :)) which, aside from delicious honey, will be an enormous boost to plant fertilization.
- partially wooded property, meaning I have ALOT more options in terms of defending the homestead. it's just a little bit difficult to set up strategic defensive mechanisms such as barriers and chokepoints on a 60'x120' suburban lot. lol.
all around, it's going to be a HUGE upgrade. maybe if some of you rural guys saw it, you might think it was a crappy spot, and compared to what some of you have, it may very well be crappy, but compared to what I'm used to, it's going to be a nice upgrade, trust me, lol.

I'll take my small town, rural lot to large city/surburban pack-together-like-rats any day of the week. Remember to make nice with the new neighbors and get a feel for things before rigging your lot line with tripwires, spikes, and flaming moats. Just saying.
