Even People On The Way Far Left Are Waking Up.

I was really surprised by this.  My step son told me yesterday that his father had given him a Bowie knife for Christmas and was going through changes that shocked him.  He said, "Believe it or not Dad is starting to sound like you!"   He's talking about economic collapse, buying guns and saying he is going to go survival camping alone to see if he could survive in the wild if he had to.

 Now, the reason this is surprising is that his father is an extremely far left liberal who has made fun of my views on prepping and possible looming disasters for years.  He's made fun of my owning guns and training, he's made fun of my stocking food,  we've argued in a friendly manner several times about the evils of big, obtrusive government, and he's laughed at my "far right wingnut" beliefs joking that I was one of the extremists the government was worried about.

I would have never thought this guy could ever change.  Well, he's got a lot of catch up to do.  He's always been the type that calls to find someone who can fix things once they break.  I wish him luck.  I wonder what his far left wife has to say about his new insights?

I'd really have to think about that.  There are already 27 adults in the group.  Besides, believe it or not, I'm kind of the quiet type who doesn't say much unless it's worth saying.  Usually I listen to others, analyse what their saying and file it away.  He's one of those people who talks a blue streak constantly and never shuts up.  I'm not so sure I could take that other than in the short bursts I've dealt with in the past.

But who knows.

Yeah, annoying personalities can be troublesome. Still it might be good to help him get squared away. Of course, its your call.

Be EXTREMELY careful with these kinds of people. There are far left people who have been prepping for quite some time, heck even back in the 60s, they were stockpiling weapons for "the revolution", and they, and like-minded younger people are still waiting for "the right time". Since their beliefs are all about taking from the few to give to the many, you  better believe they will steal what you have to give to those they deem need it more.

Even not so far left people, like your neighbor, may be all too eager to rat you out. Remember, they don't have a problem with authoritarianism when it's the kind they like.
