Death panels weren't a stunt, they are real and being used today. My personal experience (3 times) with shore memorial hospital and stroke patients. All were elderly and all were "held for observation" instead of being given the shot that would have stopped or slowed down the stroke and ultimately saved the patients. All three passed away....

To this day my family members and vets are not getting the care they need without legal assistance. The vets I know about are all elderly but even the younger vets (myself included) don't get the best care available.

FWIW, there is NO excuse for anyone to get substandard medical care but it happens all the time

I'm not defending the current system - heaven knows tricare sucks!
I'm talking about the whole Sarah Palin thing - not care boards.
the Obama care thing was that bureaucrats would decide to euthanize children with downs syndrome - one of Palin's examples.  pure BS.

Its not BS. The govt wont dump money into a person that will not become a productive member of society, its that simple. Heck they're talking aborting healthy babies up to and AFTER birth, do you believe they will support saving a baby with downs syndrome?

Sarah Palin's comment about them were made up out of whole cloth.
the idea that people would decide to kill other people is wrong.

abortion is currently a legal right.  That law can simply be changed.  that isn't a death panel issue.

 No they wouldn't kill other people but they would refuse the care or medicine needed to keep them alive.
Which means they decide who lives and who dies. To me that is a death panel!
 Bernie Sanders is 78 years old and if he wasn't a presidential candidate he would not have been given the treatment to keep him alive under obama care

Its not changing the subject, there are people making decisions on who lives and who dies, legal or not, its NOT right.

The way the current congress is polluted, they are only a few votes away from creating something called "Health panel" and they will be the deciders. If/when that happens will you support or at the very least do nothing to oppose them, because its now legal?

 Grizz you are completely correct, it is not right, and I am definitely against it. Refusing care to a patient because it is to expensive, well what ever they call it it is still a death panel. Given a chance this health panel will decide by your political leaning if you live. Scary to say the least.
