Anyone know if non-residents can concealed carry in AZ without any out of state permits? I'm doing a one week desert trip there so I'm curious.
-
AZ honors any other state's permit. But NO, you can not CC without a permit in AZ.
This interactive map will tell you:

Just remember Ken, conceal carry is just that - Nobody should know you are carrying. Get my drift? ;)

I live in AZ, so let me chime in.
Anyone who can legally own a firearm can carry concealed as long as they are over the age of 21, no permit is required for residents or out of staters, even foreign nationals who are legal residents can carry without a permit. This applies to all legal weapons, not just firearms, and not just handguns.
AZ is a constitutional carry state.

Was there a recent change in the law? Everything I've read (regarding CC) says otherwise.

The NRA has a great site where it breaks down each state's laws. Here's the AZ ones.
http://www.nraila.org/gun-laws/state-laws/arizona.aspx (http://www.nraila.org/gun-laws/state-laws/arizona.aspx)
(Wow! From the site: * Arizona respects the right of all U.S. citizens to carry a concealed handgun with or without a permit, or to carry openly while in this state. An Arizona resident permit can be obtained for the purposes of carrying concealed while in other states that offer recognition or reciprocity.)

Seems like they had just passed those laws in 2010 or 2011 when TG and I were passing through. We were so happy to be out of California where we had a close call with illegally carrying and Johnny Law, I almost kissed the gal behind the counter in Oatman, AZ when she told me I could conceal carry. Isn't that pathetic, so happy to be allowed to do what I should rightfully be able to do... >:(
Have a great trip Ken!!!

Yeah Arizona is well ahead of the curve, that gal in Oatman was making a killing selling leather fanny packs!
