Some of you may know actor Christopher Lee in his biggest role as Sauromon the White in the Lord of the Rings. After a bit of Wikipedia surfing, I found out that he is disantly related to Civil War General Robert E. Lee. They even look the same!

Abraham Lincoln is my 5th cousin or some BS like that... im still a peice of shit though.. Simply being the same blood line of a great person dosent make that persons acheivements any better. Same goes for being related to bad people.

hell if i know. all I know is years ago my dad went to some company and paid them to research his ancestry (back before websites like ancestry.com existed) and that's what they came back with. through the name Graham (which, coincidentally, is also how I'm related to Billy Graham)

Part of Clan Ewen here.
There is even the remains of a McEwen castle on the Loch Fyne. Apparently an ancestor (Chief) took out a loan from the Campbell clan and didn't pay it back. So the Campbell clan came and took the McEwen clans land.
The McLaughlin clan took in most of the defeated Ewen clan while some went with the Campbell clan (I am sure the pretty ones).
Mac or Mc means 'Son of' in Gaelic. Hence McEwen means, Son of Ewen. :))

Swamp Fox is like my Great X 6 or something Uncle, and his brother was my direct descendent. Word through the family is that Swamp Fox wasn't formerly educated in reading and writing, but his brother was, so he wrote all the dispatches for Swamp Fox, as he just said them allowed, his brother would write them down. Fairly cool shit. I love to think that my family was intimately involved in both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War on the Confederate Side, in South Caroline and Charleston NO LESS!
I've got it my blood. It just stinks to think I'm not half the men that they were. :(

My ancestor was a famous 13th century poet. There are statues of him still in Sicily.

According to experts, he's talking about the female anatomy. :))
