Hey Jojo, I think many politicians do not realize how dissatisfied their constituents are. Liberal politicians and many Republicans too have become enamored with their political power. It's important to understand the political power can be translated into physical power, since the Government can impart its will upon the common citizen using "law" enforcement or soldiers. In many cases, politicians feel like they can do whatever they like. Recently this has become more evident, as the rule of law seems to longer apply to politicians or federal employees. For example, Hillary broke many security regulations which ordinarily meant a prison term, yet nothing occurred.
The undermining of the Second Amendment by the politicians in New York, California and Connecticut without repercussions have emboldened the Governors of Delaware, Florida, Vermont, and Pennsylvania to make their own attempts at undermining the Second Amendment. I've been waiting to see if there would be a backlash, but next to nothing has occurred. Gun owners are incensed, yet they hope to make change via the ballot box. Folks, the ballot box isn't working anymore.
I think we're in a sensitive period of time, where one event against a law abiding gun owner could trigger a larger confrontation. Look at the Bundy Ranch confrontation, and there's a sharper political divide now. There's less confidence in Government agencies, especially the FBI. The common man is not happy with the government and with warmer weather coming the nation is powder keg. However, I still think if a conflict occurs it'll be a cultural/political division with urbanites versus rural, conservative folks. Here's another opinion:
