That's crazy.  Amazing the charge lasted 150 years to kill a man and send shrapnel that far into the distance.

I feel sorry for his family and friends.

Thats an old story but you hear about this stuff happening every few years. somebody digs up a shell thinks they know what they are doing when drilling the fuse and boom. But on the other side of the coin there are guys doing it all the time, and they never blow themselves up.
