When I read this I thought about Ken. I know there are others that live in high density areas as well. The article says there are 1.4 million of these people. These are the people when tshtf occurs who will be kicking in your doors looking for any kind of supplies. They aren't the type of people who will be planting gardens so expect them to venture into the countryside in groups as the supplies that are available to them run out.

RS, besides the obvious simularities the one common theme to me was; for the most part, they all started in CA.

as for as i know there is no real gang presence in my area, but come on guys, alot of these gang people dont have any training with weapons, they just know how to pull the trigger. if you have a good battlerifle and you train with it most of these guys shouldnt be a problem. but as said some gang members have military training but lets hope we dont run into those guys.

Yeah i had a conversation with TG a while back about this... one point that i just heard today about gangs that ive never heard brought up before is that when TSHTF these gangs still are all rivals and will still have all their common enemies and will likely be fighting heavily amongst themselves with no police to slow them down. their main goal will be to establish and maintain their territory...although they will still get hungry like anyone else.

So when they've broken into your home at 0300 and you're just waking up and groggy, they have no hope of hitting you with semi-auto pistols or a shotgun from extremely close quarters inside the house? You're right...you have nothing to fear. ::)
You won't always be awake. You won't always have your "battle rifle" with you. You won't always be alert. It is impossible to do all these things all the time. These guys are a threat, because they're all around us, right here and now. If they're ruthless now, what do you think they'll be like if SHTF? Take them seriously, kid. There's a reason the FBI is extremely concerned about these, especially MS-13.
