Pretty cool! I just got done clicking on the link they provided, and sent an Email to Sig, Glock, and S&W, to encourage them to do the same.

When will gun manufactures learn that their buisnesses will boom if they do stuff like this. Not that they need the buisness right now anyway.

Yeah, did you read some of the comments down below? People that haven't ever heard of York Arms are planning on doing business with them.

Look at #6
So does this mean cheaper than dirt is back in everyone's good graces, or does this simply place them lower on the shit list? ???
Nice find, NOLA [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

The ammo manufacturer's should be getting most of the criticism. Their production/supply model priorities are as follows: 1) military. 2) LEO 3) The rest of us. Some free market, eh?
-
love it!

To your point TGrl here is the post and comments last year about CTD: http://straightprep.com/forum/index.php?topic=3313.msg37016#msg37016 (http://straightprep.com/forum/index.php?topic=3313.msg37016#msg37016)
I suspect that CTD was hit pretty hard in the pocket book for their stupidity on December 18th. Up at the cabin we watch The Blaze through a Roku device. Before Dec 818th you may of seen a commercial or two on the The Blaze but now it seems every other commercial is for CTD.
It goes like: Gold commercial, CTD, food vault commercial, CTD, Liberty safe, CTD...You get the idea.
Now to comment on what this thread is about. I am stoked that gun dealers are taking this position. Like what 1000 meter wrote "The ammo manufacturer's should be getting most of the criticism. 1000m has a great point.
The biggest ammo consumer on the face of the planet (the american public) is getting the short end of the stick, it's some bullshit for sure.
-
Gotta get ready for work. When I get a chance, I'll be contacting some of the major ammo producers, to let them know that they should be doing their part by not selling to LE/ Gov. agencies. Maybe provide some links or something. I think that I'm going to type out a letter to all concerned, so that I can just Email it to whomever I wish. Have a good day guys! (and girl)

Great moves by York Arms, and others. Would love to see someone like Remington and Winchester taking the same stance.
-
To your point Crudos:
Lawmakers from Michigan, South Carolina, Arizona, and Oklahoma have all sent letters to Remington's owner, Freedom Group, since New York passed tougher gun control legislation a few weeks ago. Texas first contacted the company back in November.
Local union representative Frank "Rusty" Brown says "it's 'a horrific situation'.This is actually the worst situation we've been in as far as, you know, other states wanting to lure us away."

OR
ALBANY ? One of the world?s major gun manufacturers is threatening to pull its plant out of New York over a gun bill pushed by Mayor Bloomberg.
Remington Arms Company, in a recent letter to Gov. Cuomo, said it may be forced to bail on the Empire State if a law requiring bullet casings to carry unique markings is enacted.
Supporters argue the technology, known as microstamping, would help solve gun crimes. Detractors say it?s unreliable, easily tampered with and costly.
