Good luck finding 7.92 Kurz for those things!
Although pictures of them being used in combat are already leaking out.
I know it'll never happen but man i wish those would make it state-side.

Oh, I would LOVE to own one. I'm sure some enterprising person could find a way to load some cartridges for it.

Stupid Nazis, always burying their guns where OTHER people will find them...
-
Damn the luck. Why couldn't someone like the guy from Mitchell's Mausers find them and put them up for sale on the internet for $150 -$250?

As tragic as it sounds those guns could be rebuilt from parts kits fairly easily. At least they could import them then.
I imagine companies would start stamping receiver blanks pretty quick (ala the HK family rifles)

It makes you wonder what else is buried in the sand in that part of the world doesn't it? Why the Nazi's would bury those there is very curious. I wonder if it was part of a plan to assist Romel or something. We'll probably never know.

Or a previous Syrian government bot a lot of them as surplus after the war or something

That's a cool find no fair :'(

You would be amazed what armys bury.
I have heard many stories of all kinds of gear being buried when armies thought they were going to be over run. Every thing from guns to mortars to you name it. If it could not be buried them it was thrown in a pile and had thermite or diesel poured and lit.
It is a case of load all you can and bury or destroy all you can because the tanks and infantry are 2 hours away and we are about to be cut off.
They are still digging stuff up from WWI. I saw a story in europe where they found a BIG pile of gear buried in the back of a barn by the resistance.
