Browning bps
« on: January 03, 2012, 01:01:24 PM »
as i thought about how much 1500 dollars would be to drop on a semi auto shotgun, i ask my dad if we could go to the gun shop to see if there is anything that i would prefer more than a browning a5, i almost immediately after looking through the shotgun section caught my eyes on a Browning bps hunter with a price tag of 579 $ about a 1/3 of the price of a semi auto, after holding it and putting it to my shoulder i knew this was the gun i wanted, but i figured before purchasing i was wondering if one of you guys had any experience with one, im only familar with remington and mossberg pumps.

here is how I see it kid.

1. This stuff should be in Firearms not general.
2. If you want a Semi Auto shotgun over a pump. Get an AK platform ( Saiga ) or go ahead and nut up the cash to a Benneli.
Everything else is just a toy.
3. Pump shotguns are the way to go for shotguns that or Double barrel and I'm not loading after just two shots.

sorry reaver i thought it was in weapons, thats what i figured was a pump will really never fail u in the field and in defense, as fast as you can pump it will fire. i can work my 870 action pretty quick and the bps action seems even smoother.

If we could have them up here, I'd go with a Saiga personally. But, it's your choice (and money).

That's true. Mossy or Remmy pump shotguns are the best bang for the buck.

If you have/plan on getting an AK platform for your primary battle rifle, then maybe a Saiga would be better to get because they're much the same. But like I said though, it's your choice.

ive a had a ak for a while now frosty, its a saiga, arsenal sgl21 ive put 200 rounds through it and will put many more but my family has been busy with alot of things and have not had much time for shooting. and btw my reasons for not wanting a saiga shotgun is because im getting it for duck hunting.
