Sorry to the forum members out of USA on this subject, as you probably couldn't give a flying crap; however you are welcome to participate if you like. 

I am perplexed with the amount of American citizens who are supporting Hillary Clinton. I get VP. Biden, Sen. Sanders, Gov. O' Malley or Sen. Warren running for US President - But Hillary Clinton?

She and her husband are crooks or at least unethical - And to be quite frank a murder (Voluntary Manslaughter at least) from the Benghazi drama in 2012.

I ask the forum members: Why are people supporting her? I just don't get it.

- I know some women support her for feminist reasons.  Many are young enough they don't remember the Clinton's earlier days.  Many may believe that 'Ghazi-Gate' is a right wing attack.

America elected Obama twice.  What does that say about a large segment of the American voter?  I won't go into a discussion of that, it's just wasting my breath and beating a dead cow.  But it does answer your question.

I will go ahead and chime in on this one.

The sheep are so fickle and easily led that they are unable to see a real world.

None of them wants to see anything other than utopian things.

To the point where they would happily turn against anything or anyone that does not support their utopian view of the world.

People actually believe that the world is supposed to be a utopia. Think about that for a moment.

So anyone that stands in front of them and feeds them the lies or things they want to hear.  Will become the ruling class.

I massively simplified my views here. If this does not make sense then let me know. I will expand on things.

Gadget is absolutely correct.  Utopia has always been the sales pitch of Communism.  We have a large segment of the country that supports this ideology now whether they realize they are communists ( and what that entails) or not.

A large portion of the change in this country has come through the educational system.  We are now at the point where many children who were schooled in a non-reality based way of thinking, are now the educators who unintentionally propagate the country's Constitutional  and economic demise.  The concept of "everyone's a winner regardless of how hard they try or how talented they are" only lasts until the students graduate.  Then the reality of the world sets in and they fall back on the redistribution of wealth via Government handouts.

This isn't new, it has been in the works for decades.  Really a well implemented plan if you examine it.

Unfortunately us old farts still believe in the US Constitution. As I write that I know that we are moving towards a BIG change.

A big change to our Constitution, belief structure and the country in general. I wonder if they will corral us old farts and put us in a zoo for future generations to gander at and ridicule. Not unlike the Tories that got driven to Canada, or Southerners who went west post the Civil War.

In a way WWI saved the country from the Roosevelt & Wilson Progressives and then WWII saved the country from the Great Depression.

I am reading a book called called The Fourth Turning by William Strauss & Neil Howe (I may have already wrote about it). The basic premise of the book is that the USA goes through a big change once every 80-100 years.

In review:
1775-1781 Revolution
1860-1865 Civil War
1930-1945 Great Depression/WW II
1950 - 2015-25

I suspect we will lean towards Socialism vs. Cromwellian. The question is: Will the old farts join hands with some of the younger Libertarian folks and fight? Or will everybody sit back, pop a beer and watch Dancing With the Stars or The Patriots deflate their balls.

Nope. As Sledge said, they started this indoctrination decades ago and it's coming to fruition. 

What they are doing is waiting for us to die off. Then they'll have no one who remembers the way America was, much less fight for the old ways (read Constitutional ways). But then, modern medicine reared it's ugly head and made us live longer. Oh wait, let's pass a law to "help them check out".

In a college class I took, a few of us freedom minded guys were discussing a few of the presidential candidates. Hillary Clinton was brought up and the person I was sitting next to quickly dismissed her. Then a black fellow (who isn't exactly known for his intelligence) immediately turns to him and asks, "You don't want a female to be president?"

Now in any other circle this would have been considered funny sarcasm. But to him, this shining example of our grand democracy, it was a valid point. In his mind, Not wanting to vote for a particular woman = not wanting to vote for any woman.

Regarding the American Constitution, I think it's safe to say the experiment failed. It seems to me that the tremendous amount of freedom created from the age of enlightenment provided the taxable wealth necessary for the smallest conceivable government ever created to grow into the most powerful, most debt ridden, all around fattest government that has ever existed with more laws than any other nation before it. But if we just get a few more laws passed it will be perfect!

No I think that from an objective point of view, writing some arbitrary rules on a piece of paper and threatening to imprison anyone who breaks one is not the most rational way that a society could be run. Utopia is one thing, but failing to learn from past is another.

I find the whole question to be honestly perplexing.

History tells us that societies swing from one extreme to the other. That is the human condition and intellectually I understand that.

Yet I can also emotionally get tired of that condition.

I do not have the answer myself, other than I feel the storm brewing on the horizon..

I'm interested to see if the change in the U.S. will occur independently of the world, or if global catastrophe will serve as the catalyst and help to shape the change. Chaotic change started and limited to the U.S. will probably have different effects than similar change wrought on a global scale that affects the U.S. directly.

Anyone see that ACLU public service announcement on "Constitution Day" running near all the time around S. Ga?  A bunch of high school kids talking about the Constitution and how it is a living growing document.

Seems they want it to outgrow some things it holds dear and inviolate now.  Oh, I don't know, how about guns and privacy for starters?

Want to know why Hilary is so popular? The total lack of the GOP to run out nothing but has-beens/wanna-be's/never-will-be's. She got a smart political structure she has been building since husband bubba was in office. Until the GOP pulls it's collective head out of the ass (never happen), she has a fairly easy road to the White House. So instead of voting for whatever hopeless/dimwitted collection Republicans trot out, would urge you all to check out your local Libertarian candidate, and Gary Johnson if you want to see some real hope and change.
