Please give your prediction here. Then on Dec 31st I will compile all of the predictions into a 5-6 prediction poll for all of the forum members to vote on January 1-7th, 2016. The poll will be placed into the :tinfoil: section so only members can vote and see the results.

So between now and next Thursday, glaze into your crystal balls, turn over your tarot cards, poll your friends and type out your predictions on this thread.

Little growth in the economy. At best no significant worsening but I believe its getting worse before it gets better.

More and more info on Benghazi, hiLIARy being caught up in more and more falsifications and errors and misstatements leading to her sinking more and more. This could get to the point that Biden steps in as the savior of the dems in this election.

Obama to continue his Gitmo closing efforts and cause major issues by bringing detainees here or releasing them without obeying the law and informing Congress 30 days in advance of any movement of them. Like he did when he went criminal and traded 5 for Bergdahl.

More gun control attempts by XO. Though there is next to nothing he can do that is not already on the books but he will try. Another San Bernadino incident will cause him to go apeshit on gun control. It will also cause civilians to go apeshit on his attempts more than now and cause less support for dems in general with his ideas on that.

The typical "October Surprise" in the political process. Keep working on the 5Bs. Standard 3 but add batteries (support comm gear) and barter stuff. You just never know when you will need to trade something because you have green toilet paper.

Learned the 5Bs somewhere else and its an excellent idea.

Bitcoin's price will climb into a bubble going past the all time high of $1200 making it the best performing asset of 2016. This will be due to the block reward halving in July cutting the creation of new bitcoin in half.

√ We will see an approximately 5-10% hike in common goods(milk, gas, meat etc) due to the trend of raising minimum wages everywhere.

√ Socialism will become more popular and a socialist leaning ruler such as Bernie will be crowned.

√ Voluntaryism(Anarchism, Libertarianism) will also grow in popularity(still a small minority of the population but expanding steadily).

Or maybe a giant asteroid will strike earth to smash us like the tiny little ants that we are. Could go either way.

2. Trump wins the primary and the polls say he is 15 points ahead of Hiliary causing black lives matter (No Caps because their professional trouble makers) and all of the race baiters to riot.
3. his majesty institutes marshal law and TEOTWAWKI. Civil war breaks out.
4. The dirt bag declares himself dictator for life.

OR;

1. Iran and North Korea fire nukes from submarines off of our coasts at the same time knocking out electric grid. TEOTWAWKI
2. The idiot in charge sends Kerry to talk to them and blames it on man made global warming.
3. ISIS sleeper cells take advantage of the situation and start killing people and blowing things up.
4, The idiot in charge blames it on Man made global warming and that they didn’t have a job.

Either way we are screwed. :hiding:

*Terrorists attack polling stations during the primaries. Across several months and states.
*After primaries terrorist attacks increase in frequency.
*October surprise. On October 31 the "Emperor with no clothes" announces that the election will be postponed in order to protect the public until the terrorists are brought under control and it is safe.
*As a third of the nation rebells against the October surprise martial law is announced in November.
*2017 will be ushered in with the fireworks of a civil war.

Elvis is found to be alive, releases a new album, and becomes the national advertising spokesperson for both Geritol and the over 50 / Our Time Dating sites.

Will be the election of Hillary Clinton as president.

I could go on and on about why I believe this will happen. Yet it boils down to one set of things.

The general public are sheep that worship the cult of personality. They will believe what she says to them. Worst of all there is the whole "first female president" thing to fight against.

Now if I am wrong on this. I will indeed be a happy person.

Turmoil and anger in the upcoming election-Hilary will be shown to be the criminal she is and will exit the race. 2 scenarios-Sanders could win if Trump is not the Republican nominee, trump will run as independent and dilute the vote. In a straight up race with one Dem and one Repub, I think the Republican will win.
Crude oil will trade between $30-$40 a barrel thru the year, fuels will stay low as well. Will spur sales of large autos/trucks for the next couple of years. More high horsepower cars are coming.
Gun sales & accessories will skyrocket as the idiot in chief waves his pen. Issuance of weapon carry permits will continue to rise with the threat of more jihadi acts in this country.
Forgot, earthquake swarms are growing in the western US, maybe something is coming.

I would go about 2-2.4% Just too much generalized fear and concern. Way to little confidence around anywhere or anything nowadays.

I would anticipate that if hiLIARy exits, Biden will step in as the dems great redeemer who comes riding to the rescue.
Trump has recently made some solid comments as to not going independent. But that is easily subject to change. It would be freaking triple awesomely terrific if the FBI were to bring a super minor oops, sorry negligence charge regarding the emails.

It might get into the low $40s but little more than that, regardless of what OPEC tries. In general I suspect it will stay in the $34-37 range. Careful on the car purchase, 3-5 years from now, $3-3.25 is not unreasonable.

With that written I will add to what has already been written that what ever we face in 2016 it will affect everyone around the globe. Our economies are to intertwined now.

On another note: MrsMac, the catz and our dog spent the Christmas holiday at my brothers in SE PA. A good time was had by all with the exception of one thing. My sister in-law told me about a dream she had Christmas night. Basically it involved martial law, her trying to get home to her house and then packing up to go to the cabin.

During the time at my bro's house we never discussed TEOTWAWKI which if we had it might have explained his wife's dream. We all thought the dream was out of place and it visually rattled my sister in-law. It took most of Saturday for her to stop talking about it.

All economies that rely on revenues from oil or gas will suffer.
The push for combating global warming will increase the use of bio fuels produced from crops, which will result in reduced food production globally.
Global crack down on taxes/revenue to shore up budget shortfalls.
Europe will come apart due to the refugee crisis. A couple more jihadi attacks and it will happen fast. Nationalism and common sense will rule. Political correctness is on the way out. Rules from Belgium are being discarded. Look at Poland, not sure who is pulling the strings there, but smells like Putin. Russia will continue to expand their influence globally.
South America, Venezuela- nothing but pain here. Collapse or martial law. China will own them.
Middle East / North Africa, more potential for trouble here than I am able to comment on. Islamic State will continue to spread as their Syria territory shrinks. Christians will continue to be eradicated.
2016 will be a banner year for arms sales.
