Haven't posted here for a while, since I don't do what I consider traditional "prepping" activities very often, but here goes.
- Halfway done with my degree in Respiratory Therapy. Supposedly, last semester (the Hell semester) is the toughest I'll have. One more year, and I'll be employable, should be making $20/hr starting off, with benefits. Woohoo! Financial independence is on the horizon.
- Still working on our house. Was a redneck-ified, falling - apart shack (essentially) about a year ago. Father in law, a carpenter, took care of the renovation for us (looks amazing). About 80% finished, moved in February. Been working on the yard, which is a bitch. There are probably 30 distinct species of flora on this property, and we're killing and digging them up. Every. Last. One. Ultimate goal is to have a barren yard so we can plant ONE species of grass. So in another year, should look really nice.
- We're still homeschooling my daughter. She's very smart and can be hardheaded, but I consider those really good signs. At least she won't have 8 year old boys trying to make her their girlfriend anymore, or friends from school, girls, who try to sit in her lap and make out with her on sleepover nights. :-/ (Seriously, what is wrong with those kids!?)
- Been going to a gym to work out. Gotta lose some weight and tone up so I can compete against TG in the Highlander games.
- Preparing for our third child, another boy. It's my duty to prevent the collapse of Western civilization.
Anyway, it's a hell of a lot of work, but the more we accomplish, the stronger we become, and the better I feel.
So, yeah, actively prepping to be financially independent, more healthy and confident, and helping prevent the extinction of the white race.
Carry on. :-D
