I don't know if this is what I'd call my theme song. But I do know it's my overall, all time favorite song. For the younger guys that have never heard it. Give it a chance and listen to the lyrics.

I remember watching that show.  It's a nice song.  Just one of several he did about improving society.  Another one was In The Getto.  "And as her young man dies, On a cold a gray Chicago morn, another little baby child is born........."

For the record OONW your an  ASSWIPE.

For me I'd have to say Five finger death punch Death Before Dishonor,
It reminds me of the pride I once held for myself and the men I served with.
When you look death in the eyes one too many times, the fast pace of life and the little things that you thought were important aren't really that big a deal.

What's that about?  I'm not getting where you are coming from.  Not to mention I don't agree.

Here's a treat.

This one really hits home with me.  I wonder how my life and other people lives would have been different if I was the person back when that I am today.  Don't get me wrong, I love my wife and kids.  I just wish I hadn't hurt as many people as I did.

Kyle and I also discussed this one at length as one of the all-time great tunes.  Johnny Marr is one of the most innovative guitarists of all-time.  Enjoy...

This song combined with scotch has been the demise of two of my stereo amps....true story.
Clutch - Drink To The Dead

If knee-deep in cat nip
At the old icebox
I recommend you whistle
And give the box three knocks
Should you be so lucky
To hear whisperin'
It is an invitation
For you to leap in

May you go marching in three measure time
Dressed up as asses, drunk to the nines
Swing from the rafters
Shouting those songs
Gone unsung for far too long

If boxing your shadow
At the wall full of moss
And antlers approach you
Then I am at a loss

May you go marching in three measure time
Dressed up as asses, drunk to the nines
Swing from the rafters
Shouting those songs
Gone unsung for far too long

Drink to the dead all you still alive
We shall join them in good time
Should you go crossin' that silvery brook
It's best to leap before you look

Surrounded by toadstools
At the old green glen
I'm afraid there is little
That I can recommend
Save all of your courage
And sincere prayer
And where you go-a treadin'
Take the utmost care

So let us
Drink to the dead all you still alive
We shall join them in good time
Should you go crossin' that silvery brook
It's best to leap before you look

ok. official them song.

Streetlight Manifesto - Keasbey Nights

It was the summer of '95 (SO WHAT?)),
in the backyard, shaving the old plies.
Feeling so strong (STRONG), something went wrong (WRONG).
Straight into my finger, what a stinger, it was so long.
I still remember that day,
like the day that I said that I swear,
"I'll never hurt myself again",
but it seems that I'm deemed to be wrong,
to be wrong, to be wrong.
So I've got to keep holding on,
they always played a slow song.

When they come for me,
I'll be sitting at my desk,
with a gun in my hand,
wearing a bulletproof vest.
Singing "my, my, my, how the time does fly,
when you know you're going to die by the end of the night."

I still remember when we were young and fragile then.
No one gave a shit about us because times were tougher then.
Feeling so good (GOOD), cruising the hood (HOOD);
straight into the real world,
rich kids never understood.
But I don't care. I can fade away to anywhere.
Don't stop because you might get dropped (DROPPED)
and if you do who's going to pick you up.
Well I won't.
Well I won't.
They always played a slow song.

When they come for me,
I'll be sitting at my desk,
with a gun in my hand,
wearing a bulletproof vest..
Singing "my, my, my, how the time does fly,
when you know you're going to die by the end of the night."

When they come for me,
I'll be sitting at my desk,
with a gun in my hand,
wearing a bulletproof vest..
Singing "my, my, my, how the time does fly,
when you know you're going to die by the end of the night."

When they come for me,
I'll be sitting at my desk,
with a gun in my hand,
wearing a bulletproof vest..
Singing "my, my, my, how the time does fly,
when you know you're going to die by the end of the night."

When they come for me,
I'll be sitting at my desk,
with a gun in my hand,
wearing a bulletproof vest..
Singing "my, my, my, how the time does fly,
when you know you're going to die by the end of the night."
