Feel It?

I have noticed that question repeated around here a time or 2.  Glen Beck sure does.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/08/24/beck-warns-that-something-bad-is-coming-our-way-as-stock-market-tumbles/

Quote
Glenn Beck warned that “something bad is coming our way” as the Dow Jones industrial average fell more than 1,000 points in early trading Monday morning.

“The toolbox is empty,” Beck said on his radio program. “We had the rescue packages, the credit guarantees, quantitative easing, zero interest rate policy. Right now, we’re almost at zero. We have taken every new program we could. … There’s nothing left for the Federal Reserve to do.”

Beck said he doesn’t believe the “lights-out event” in the stock market will happen today. Rather, he predicted “it will come down and it will go back up a little bit, and then it will go down.”

“It will just keep taking money off of the table, just keep it coming off the table,” he summarized. “Not good.”

Beck said he believes there is “something in our collective conscience … telling people all around the globe, ‘Something bad is coming our way,” and he believes “everybody feels it.”

“Here’s what I would suggest you do,” Beck continued. “I would suggest that you pay attention to what is in your 401(k). You make sure that there is some sort of stop on your 401(k) so you can’t just lose everything.”

“I would highly suggest that you have enough cash for a week,” Beck added. “There is going to come a time when things just stop working and they shut everything down and they stop a run on the bank and everything else. And I don’t think we’re there. But I would suggest that you have a week’s worth of cash on hand.”

Beck said he doesn’t believe the banks will close today, but it “will happen at some point” and you should be prepared when it does.

“We have seen this happen recently in other countries, where they just limit the amount that you can take out,” Beck remarked. “So everybody just gets $200, you know, every couple of days. You can have $200, but that’s it.”

Beck also encouraged his audience to make sure they have 72 hours of food on hand, as well as guns and ammunition.

“How are you doing with God?” he asked. “Those are all the doomsday things to do, but if you have any those unchecked on your list, I would make a point to start doing those today. We are headed for trouble.”

We are experiencing a "financial collapse parachute" not unlike a "golden parachute" that C-level folks receive when they are canned.

August we receive a 8% correction
Sept we receive another 4-6% correction
Oct we receive the big correction of 10% post Q3 retail results are released.

Viola! We have received the 20% correction by year-end I predicted awhile back.

Now others are predicting a 40% correction caused by China & Russia, e.g. economic warfare.

Financial collapse is only one part of a "perfect storm". What else by year end will be thrown into the mix? Pandemic, stepped up cyber attacks, EMP or CME, ratcheted up terrorist attacks, etc.

Can you feel it...

When I took my money out of the bank, they would only give it to me $1000 - $5000 at a time.
Sure did cause the mattress to get lumpy.

The kicker was when things were going down hill and the New York Stock Exchange suddenly had a computer failure that shut down trading for a couple of hours.

Everyone said that it really didn't affect anyone and no one lost any money as a result of the shut down, but any educated person had to know what was really going on.

This is a test of the emergency shut down system, this is only a test. ...............................................

For those of you that wanted to get involved in amateur radio, but were too busy fishing at the top of the dam, and refused to stop fishing long enough to get your licenses and buy radio equipment and learn how to use radio equipment.  I'm not going to feel sorry for you when your cell phone and internet goes down and you have nothing!

For those that thinks that it can't happen to me - just ask my sister on Long Island N.Y. what happened after Hurricane Sandy..  3 weeks of no service!  Sitting in line in front of a gas station 20 miles away, for 6 hours, just to get 5 gallons of gasoline.  No natural gas to cook with, no electric, no telephone, the only thing they had was water...  They had to drive 40 miles to find a grocery store that had groceries, because the local stores had no electric - couldn't sell food even if they wanted to, and the ones on the outskirts were pretty much sold out of the basic items before they got there.  And this is just one town!

I've preached and preached that a 401k is nothing more than a Ponzi scheme to get uneducated people to invest in the stock market and hope that the money they put in will still be there when they retire..
The government is not willingly going to let you put money someplace where they cannot tax it!

All good points Shadow.

I read an article somewhere written by a small business owner in Texas during JH-15. In short, she felt that JH-15 was all about shutting down conveniences that we have become accustomed too, e.g. internet, cell phones, Ma' Bell, etc.

She experienced all of the above at one time or other during the training. When she reported the outages the utilities who supplied them just scratched their heads and couldn't figure out why "X" wasn't working.

Other folks in the communities that JH-15 was active in, had similar stories.

Can you feel it....

I thought I'd test the waters last week, one day took out $5k, no questions, few days later took $10k from one branch and another $10k from another branch.

The first branch didn't say a thing, just gave me the $, second one filled out a form but still gave me the $ without question.

All without notice so later that day they may not have had the cash to spare, but the point is that nobody could really care what I took as long as they had enough on hand.

On my way home I bought a safe, given the way things are I may just keep the cash out of the bank :)

Make sure that box is well bolted to something that cannot be moved while you are gone.
