Still kicking and pissed off as all hell!

These land grabs promise to get ugly because it's not just historical homelands, it's any and all real estate.   The government has tried redistribution of agricultural land in the past and all of those farms have failed.  If the opposition party cannot stop this in it's tracks then this will be the final nail in our economic coffin.

Not sure if i added this in yet. The law that is mentioned only state redistribution of property. To be perfectly clear guys. That means everything. From your land to your house to your car to your pen. It does not specifically only state land redistrubution, many of the folks have pointed this out and in a manner started throwing spanners in the cogs to keep this thing from rolling.

Like i said. A VERY DANGEROUS POLITICAL GAME>

But it is heating up in the arena. I shudder to know why it has been so quiet. we yet again have load shedding due to strikes at ESKOM. And now it seems we have a looming national shut down strike looming again.

THey want to use cars to block every road, in every city nation wide to bring down the petrol and diesel prices aswell as the VAT.

We have an interesting time ahead.

I saw a report through a totally off subject website (Sailing Anarchy) that mentioned that Cape Town narrowly escaped Day Zero over the weekend.  The report was about a guy who is proposing towing an ice berg from Antarctica to mitigate the water shortage.  No idea about the viability or cost to do this.  I was more concerned for the UP members from SA and how they are holding up.

:suicide:  D'oh!  I have heard news about the iceberg towing but never made a thought connection between that SA and this SA.

Dayum, do something like that if you want to feel dumb for a while.

Update on cape town and their day zero.

It was averted. Cape town got a ton and a half of rain, i tried to get pics to attach but alas. i did find a few articles
A-lot of the dam's are now nearly full or overflowing.
Yes there are still towns suffering however, but for the most part the water crisis is on hold and water restrictions as i understand have been lifted in most of the towns.

as for the rest of the people in the country...
We are seemingly biting the bullet with TAX and VAT and well general living cost increases simply unpresidented i am sure in the history of this country.

Literally no one i know is making it through a month on their salaries anymore.
I can literally see the economy buckling under this, because so many businesses and companies are closing or laying off personnel because of this, and so many more are automating.
My net is severely slow i will post an update with examples of the price hikes with comparisons to last year.

It appears that South Africa is going through a death of a thousand cuts in its march to Communism.

well, at least water isn't a huge concern anymore.

RM - did you make a list of water wells and springs that didn't dry up?  they are probably reliable most of the time.  if drought comes back, you'll have options.

I am not sure how to put things into words.
We have had a strange few months. so here is an update.
Yesterday it was announced we will once again have load shedding.
To give you an idea if you read the below article, every staion has about 5 ubits, you can read up on how many staions there are.
But to have 11 of those units shut down is unthinkable, at most we have 1-2 shut down units for mandatory services ect, we cannot afford to have any single one unit down at this time, and now there is 11 of them not running.
https://www.thesouthafrican.com/eskom-shuts-down-power-station-load-shedding-november-2018/
and here is the schedules for load shedding
http://www.tshwane.gov.za/sites/Departments/Public-works-and-infrastructure/Pages/Load-Shedding.aspx

I have fallen into abit of a funk myself, cannot seem to shake it.
Sorry for being so quiet guys and gals.

We have seen petrol and diesel price hikes again and with that everything else got more and more expensive aswell, scandal after scandal hitting the news about our corrupt politicians and nothing is happening to bring them to justice.

needless to say, we have a dismall december ahead of us.

RM checking in.

I was just thinking of you RM and hoping for good news but it seems good news is not to happen soon. Lets hope the load shedding ends quickly.

Good to hear from you Rogue!

Here is a link to a YouTube channel of, I believe, an S.A. expat living in Australia.

https://m.youtube.com/user/TheBirdsNestOz

He also posts a number of vids indicating China is playing a major role behind the scenes to take advantage of the chaos/racial tensions to help along their foreign policy.

Thank you @deathstyle
@zanedclark
@jojo and @kbop and everyone else for the moral support.

The blackouts i am not sure how this will pan out, guess we will have to wait and see. And yes it has been several weeks since i last posted an update.

Politically the arena has been lighting up again and the whole land grab thing is continuing they had a committee that was suppose to weigh the pro's and cons i guess, and then decided to push it through anyways, the banks are having a royal shit time about it now.

Oh i almost forgot
see link
https://citizen.co.za/news/south-africa/2036603/leave-musinas-lights-on-business-warns-eskom

other than that there has been a hectic heatwave over the last week, we still need a lot of rain the drought is not cleared up yet.
Sunday we had temperatures soaring to 38-40 degrees Celsius.
and two weeks before that i know a few places hit temperatures of 46 degrees Celsius.
Very hot and humidity of zero.

our political arena is an absolute mess and a joke hey.
they are trying to get the guptas extradited from Dubai and in the meantime the ball is being passed from one hand to the next as the coffers have been raided empty.
I am fairly confident to say Every state owned enterprise is tanking beyond repair and is in so much financial trouble there is no way they can save it.
I am also confident to say even if another party gets elected leader there is no way they can lift this trash from the gutter and fix it, We are passed the point of no return and we are drastically arriving at rebuild from the ground up state.

So that aside. had some personal issues over the last few weeks and still not coping too well.
Been abit hard to post updates.
Sorry about that.

@deathstyle about the chinese- YES they are definately using the chaos to their own gain, they are allready mining copper and who knows what else allover SA as we speak.

I know i am propably missing some details right now, will tend to them as they resurface. :lmfao:
Which propably won't take long.

Kind Regards
RM
