Post by: EJR914 on February 16, 2012, 05:55:00 PM
Has anybody used it before?  Anybody heard anything good or negative about it?

http://truprep.com/ (http://truprep.com/)

Just came across it and thought I would spread the word.

Nice site. Never used them. Figures they'd be in GA though.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at NC never has anything worth while like that. Hell between rednecks still bitching about the civil war, saying the 9mm is no different from a .45, and having no good ranges around here  :'( I need to move.

Well I won't hold it against you since you experienced it first hand it must feel like it was just yesterday when someone brings it up. Ahahahaha  :P Had to mess with you a little man. But seriously, 9mm and .45?  Never mind  :-X I can see people kicking those dead horses already.

Site looks interesting, but something has been poking at me since. Remember the story of FBI or whatever agency was trying to get names of people from the LDS food seller to see who was buying what and how much? I remember reading the it on the SP site somewhere. Just for a minute think about this... So if the government can't legally get names of people buying survival supplies from the LDS, what if they started their own company in order to track such things and gather intel on the buyers? Not saying this is the case with TruPrep, but the conspiracy did cross my mind. Anyway, going to bed, been a long day.

You caught us.  We are "The Man" harvesting names and addresses of preppers to send to the gubment.   ;D  I kid, I kid.  Nah, we are just normal folks and preppers like you guys trying to run a business doing something we enjoy.   I know the original poster is from Georgia because I recognize your handle from The Outdoors Trader, the AR15.com Georgia hometown forum, and possibly GeorgiaPacking.org.  We are actually a sponsor on both The Outdoors Trader and GeorgiaPacking.org.  We are located in Marietta so if you are close by drop into our store sometime and say hello.

We found it by the link in your original post.  When people follow the link to our website we can tell where they are coming from.  We have only really been pushing the web store for a couple of weeks now so we have been watching the web logs to figure out what advertising is working, how people hear about us, etc.  We don't have a lot of traffic right now so when a couple people come to our site from the same place it really stands out in the logs.  That is why you see people leaving links "cold" to things like polls because if you make them "hot" where someone can click on them then the website that the link is to can see where you are coming from.

I'll let you guys get back to business.  I just wanted to assure you guys we weren't the Russian mafia, or worse, Janet Napolitano from DHS.

Hmm, I don't know. That sounds exactly like what Janet Napolitano would say if it really was her.  :-\ LOL Just kidding. Welcome.

Here is my critique of the site, I'll try to be gentle...  ;D

I really like the layout. I do wish that there were more picture to each item, or even all items having pictures.

I like the selection of products... which brings me to the biggest part of any site.  Prices.

After reviewing several products, a couple which I personally own, I found that while some of the prices are pretty fair others SEEM high when compared to other sites, especially ones offering free shipping.  I know there are reasons for this and its best to buy from companies you know are here in the states.  But sometimes I can't afford not to be a cheap bastard lol.

Overall, good site!

The 9mm is so "inside the box" while the .45acp is so "outside the box."  I figure with a .45 I just shoot the bad guy THROUGH the car door, house door, medium cover, person in front of them (jk) etc.  The .45 ACP was light years ahead of it's time.
