Tried to Go on an Adventure

Wife said no.  I thought it would be fun.  Its only 240 miles to get there.  Not as far as the Canadians but still be fun trip.

Still think it would be a good day even considering the dumbness of it.

3 Canadians drove 500 miles to try McDonald's pizza

Published March 28, 2017 FoxNews.com

Three men from Canada decided to go on a road trip from London, Ontario to McDonald’s in Spencer, W. Va.– documenting the whole thing in a YouTube video.

“So a couple months ago, I googled McDonald’s pizza and an article came up from 2015 that apparently in West Virginia, they still sell McDonald’s pizza so we are going to go all the way down to West Virginia and come back and we’ll see how that goes,” says one of the friends along for the ride.

McPizzas made their debut on the McDonald’s menu in the late 1980s-- but due to a lack of demand, disappeared from most locations by the 1990s. But there are still just a handful of places where they're available-- and one of those places is Spencer. The pizzas, available in both personal and family sizes, are also available Pomeroy, Ohio according to a 2015 report from Eater.

Prior to the expedition, one of the buddies explains, “So we actually didn’t check to see if the McDonald’s actually has the pizza so we are just going to wing it, for the sake of the video.”

The trio can be heard singing John Denver’s “Country Roads” throughout the duration of the eight hour road trip.

While crossing the border into the U.S., the men claim that the sole purpose of the trip was to actually taste McDonald's version of a pizza. They even tell that to a border agent, who promptly responds, “You’re going all the way there for that?”

With fast food on the brain, along the way the trio stops at Taco Bell for some grub.

When the trio finally reaches West Virginia, they stop at a visitor center before finally heading to the town's McDonald's.

The three men each order and devour a personal McDonald’s pizza.

So was the 500 mile trek worth it?

One of the men call the pizza “pretty average...at best.” But that doesn't mean it was a failed mission.

“I just want to thank the city of Spencer and the state of West Virginia for having us here. Fine country of America," says one of the Canadians as they begin driving home. "Home of the free, land of the brave, and McDonald’s pizza."
If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.
