TP
« on: February 21, 2022, 12:32:42 AM »
I've stocked up pretty well on paper towels even though the prepper experts say you don't need to. I call BS on that if you are bugging in. :pissed: OK, if you are bugging out, the paper towels might be space wasting item that can get ruined if they get wet. Now, on to Toilet Paper. I've got a really good supply on hand but I was discussing this with the wife tonight and I told her that I was considering buying a pretty big supply to add to our bug in preps because it was eventually going to be too expensive and too hard to find. She nodded her approval. Then there are the neighbors that are going to end up in a bad way when they run out and can't get any. I don't want to be the "GO to Guy' but you can bet those neighbors will eventually come looking around the neighborhood for some TP and I'll be the guy who has some. The word on the street is that a few people are waking up and have just now started prepping. That's all well and good and I guess being a little late is better than completely missing the boat. When the SHTF and everybody realizes the mess they are in, I don't want to be standing in any line waiting to buy my one roll limit purchase of TP. :faint:

I had a gf move in with me a few years ago and my TP was the only thing that she used at many times the rate I used it. When I confronted her about it she replied she wipes front and back, I only wipe back...

Hmm, good point but do you need to use so much?  :hiding:

I don't think we've used a roll of TP in a year.  We have bidets, and if we have an urge to clean further we use baby wipes.  If we lose county water pressure, we have bidet bottles, and some washcloths in a light bleach/water solution would be used for further cleaning.  I can't justify the storage space or the expense to store large quantities of TP.

Get some.  It will be worth its weight in gold once trading times come.  Plugs and pads also.

My brother was taught to use a bidet bottle by his Philippine wife years ago. And like Jackalope mentioned the use of baby wipes for additional scouring.  :o
