all- I just got an email from spaceweather.com -

BIG FLARE LAUNCHES "SOLAR TSUNAMI": Earth-orbiting satellites have just detected a major X2.2-class solar flare. The blast caused a deep shortwave radio blackout on Earth and launched a tsunami of plasma in the sun's atmosphere. A CME is almost certainly emerging from the blast site, but we don't yet know if it is heading for Earth. Stay tuned to Spaceweather.com for updates.

another quote- The US Air Force has reported a Type II solar radio burst coming from the tsunami. The drift rate of the burst suggests a shock speed greater than 2400 km/s (5.4 million mph). Solar tsunamis and Type II radio bursts are closely linked to CMEs, and we should expect to see one soon emerging from the blast site.

Just for comparison, the Carrington Event was estimated to be X45, the October 2003 event was an X35. Won't see any effects outside of radio interference from X1-X5 events. And "Solar Tsunami" isn't a thing, just Spaceweather trying to sell more ads with "doom hype".

well that's good news. at least....Thanks - 45x solar flare = Carrington event...I read about it, just didn't remember the 45x to compare this new info - and not surprised online things are all about click bait anymore.
