It’s not the stupidity of the column that’s causing the double-take, it’s the cautionary “editors note” that precedes it.

The column, in the UCLA student newspaper, calls for free tampons for menstruating women as a way of tackling gender inequality. Yes, that’s very dumb. But apparently, the editors felt it was important to point out that, dear reader, women aren’t the only ones who menstruate.

Wait, what?

Editor’s note: This blog post refers to individuals who menstruate as women because the author wanted to highlight gender inequality in health care. We acknowledge that not all individuals who menstruate identify as women and that not all individuals who identify as women menstruate, but feel this generalization is appropriate considering the gendered nature of most health care policies.

That’s right. Just in case you think you’re a guy – with a vagina – and are currently menstruating – we don’t want to offend you  …  you nutty person.

In case you want a little bit of how silly the article is, here’s a paragraph:

    It’s about time that the federal government recognizes that even the most basic health care needs to start subsidizing the cost of tampons and pads for women, or covering the cost completely. This is only fair, since health insurance is supposed to cover the major aspects of a person’s health. But more importantly, cutting the cost of these products is a crucial step in normalizing menstruation within society, and it provides women who may not have access to these resources the opportunity to feel clean and comfortable during their period.

The article, by Zoey Freedman (a woman, by the looks of it, but who knows?) appeared in print with the headline “Free tampons could lessen inequality,” but not constrained by space (or good taste, apparently), the headline they chose to use was “Free tampons would slow flow of gender inequality.”

Get it? Like the flow of menstrual blood.

Which men can have, apparently?

Don't these socialists know that the government doesn't provide anything?

It only reallocates resources from one party to another.

Or worse, it reallocates money from some people to use as an interest payment on a debt that unborn children have to inherit. Which creates the illusion of the creation of wealth.

But don't worry guys, America can't collapse. We're as powerful as ancient Rome.

I mean, instead of saying, "The government should pay for my Tampons"...

They should be honest and say, "Unborn people in the future should be forced to pay for my tampons".

But I guess they are too stupid to work it out in their little socialist brains.

But the worst part of all is that they somehow call this 'fair'. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Thanks for the laugh socialists. It would be even more funny if I wasn't forced to subsidize your stupidity.

What about the trannymen who do the woman thing proper and line their panties with pads just because women do that one week a month?  Do they lose out on the entitlement or do they plug around back?

Recent studies suggests that personal income tax will near 50 to 60% in the next 25 years.

While the individual only pays a small fraction of the taxes necessary to run this country, everyone wants something for free.

Free paved roads, free healthcare, free food, free money.
Eventually someone has to pay for these things!

At the same time, it has been predicted that our population will shift and that 50% of our population will be colored in 50 years.
And these very same socialist goes so far as to say that it is not embedded in their beliefs to work.  So if 50% of the population is colored and doesn't work, who is going to pay all of these taxes?

I keep trying to tell people that 401K and other retirement plans are a Ponzi Scheme, and no one will listen.
If the government fails - who is going to guarantee the money in the bank is still going to be there?
At this point, you ARE better off sticking your money beneath your mattress then putting it in the bank and getting a small amount of interest, and then having to pay taxes on the interest!
At least when the bank fails, I will still have my money!

And they thought that my grandparents generation was crazy when they did this after the great depression, and yet no one has learned a damn thing from history.

As Grudgie has said - if you forget about the past and refuse to learn from other peoples mistakes, you are doomed to repeat their mistakes!

Until our country closes its borders and refuses to let any more immigrants in, and deports some of those that does not belong here, there is no way that our government can support those that are already here.  Obama is just a pawn, used to fight wars with other Arab countries, and drop the guard of our own country by mending fences with countries that we put strict embargo's on years ago - because they were dangerous to themselves and others and provoked war with us and instead of just wiping them off the face of the earth, we chose to just ignore them...
